Christmas decorating fun

So tonight we put up our tree and decorated it and our house. We had a lot of fun. Lukas was WAY to helpful. I can tell I am going to have my hands full trying to keep him away from the ornaments. He kept going to the tree and just staring at it. Now I am in the Christmas mood and it is so fun. The picture with the 3 snowmen I thought I would show you because we have a little boston terrier ornament that I put with it and Lukas loves it. (I thought the fam would enjoy that picture). We cant leave Nellie out, right? I dont know if I can put gifts under the tree cause I think Lukas would be way to excited about playing with them. I guess I can try and see what happens. Brian brought home pizza tonight and we playing Christmas music loudly and just had a wonderful evening. Now we are watching the Polar Express again. ( For Lukas of course) I actually really like the movie too. Brian does too. Now all we need is snow. We are hoping.

Feeding the Elders

Last night we had the Elders over for dinner. It kinda looks like this Elder is trying to wrestle Lukas onto his lap but really Lukas was just trying to get off his lap and the Elder was helping him. It was fun having them over though. It made me kinda miss Scott though. Lukas was a huge show off. (As always). He was making them laugh at dinner by making crude noises and then laughing at himself. At least they all thought it was pretty funny.

My Teddy

So I have this teddy bear that Brian gave me a long time ago that Lukas has recently discovered. It has been his sidekick for the last couple days and it is so funny cause it is as big as him. He loves it though. He gets so excited when he sees it and says "bear" with a huge smile on his face. I didnt know he would get so much excitement from it. But I say, "whatever makes him happy."

We watched the Polar Express movie with Lukas the other night and he LOVED it. He sat through the whole movie and just watched it. He has NEVER sat through a whole movie before. I guess he loves Christmas just as much as we do. It was so fun though watching it just the three of us. He is so much fun. I cant wait for Christmas. We are going to put up our Christmas tree on Friday so Lukas should have fun with that. We were going to put it up tonight but Brian got home late from work and Lukas was too tired. So Friday is the day. I am so excited !!!!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING !!!

We want to wish everyone a Happy Turkey Day! We hope everyone had a good day. We ate too much as usual. At least it is one day that I can tell myself that it is o.k. to overeat. ( What is my excuse for every other day? Uhhh.... dont have one.) We went to Rexburg with my parents and had a big meal with my grandma and my aunt and uncle and their family. It was fun. We went to a church and so Lukas had lots of fun running around. The boys played basketball and I just relaxed. It was nice. Lukas was pretty convinced that he could fit in this little toy bus thing. He spent alot of his time trying this out. As you can see..... he is a little too big. But he had a lot of fun. Now dad and Brian are watching football and I am still just relaxing. What a good day to be lazy. Mom and I are getting up early tomorrow morning to try to get some shopping done. I dont like the big crowds, but it is kinda tradition. We wished the rest of the family could be here. It was weird being the only kid here. Oh well, I am looking forward to Christmas when at least all my sisters and their families are coming. I wonder what Scott did today being a missionary and all. Hopefully he had a good day. We missed him around here.

Tonight I had a big thing of water and Lukas wanted to drink it too, so I gave it to him and he set it on the floor and drank out of it without picking it up. It was funny. After each drink he would stand up and say " MMMM, AHHHHH" He thought he was pretty clever that he could drink out of it without holding it.

Weekend in Utah

This weekend we took a little trip to Utah to see my sister, Candace. Lukas found their baby's bouncer and liked to sit in it. (As you can see he is a little too big for it. ) He loved it though. I guess he wanted to get the attention that Parker got when he sat in it. The trip was fun. Brian got a really bad cold so we all know what that means..... I am going to get it. Dang it. Oh, well. What do you do. My brother in law, Dave, gave me some airborne today to try to keep the cold away from me. Hopefully it works. Dave swears by that stuff. We just got home a little bit ago and Lukas is kinda cranky cuz as usual, he is getting another molar. It seems like he gets a new tooth everyday so it seems like he has a sore mouth all the time. Thank goodness for infant tylenol.

While we were there, Candace came home with a new stroller for Parker and Lukas had to just sit in it inside the house. I guess it was just something new that he liked. But when we would try to take him out, he would get kinda mad at us.

Lukas was so cute with their baby, Parker. Here is a picture of Lukas kissing Parker. Won't he be a wonderful big bro someday? He is still learning to be soft with babies but he sure likes to pet them on the head. He is always ready to give kisses too.

Hello again. I took some cute pictures of Lukas today during bathtime that I thought you would like. He loves getting baths but when it is time to get dressed, he always tries to run away. Silly kid. He has been so hyper lately. He learned how to say "Thank you" in his own cute little way and now he says it all the time. "tank yo" is how it sounds. It is pretty funny.

Our new blog!

Hey everyone. Brian and I decided to start a new blog to share with everyone. We thought it would be a good idea to share our experiences and let everyone know what is going on with us. Lukas is growing up so fast and he is so funny and we just want to share that with you. I am new at this so hopefully this works. Keep checking back now and then and hopefully I will keep this thing updated on a regular basis. Lukas is 14 months old now and walking all over the place. He is so happy all the time and thinks he is the funniest person ever. This is a picture of Lukas and me at my grandpa's funeral the other day. He passed away last week and the funeral was really nice. He was such a great man and I miss him so much. I just have to remind myself that he is happy where he is and I will see him again. ( I will add some more cheery pictures later on.) Anyway, hopefully you all enjoy our blog and it will get more exciting. ( Hopefully). Bye for now!!!!
